for quick and accurate alignment and clamping of flanges, nozzles, short pipe sections to pipes and cylindrical tanks. Wedge shaped clamps provide automatic compensation even for parts with greatly differing diameters. To avoid electrolytic corrosion, we supply the versions with support rails made of stainless steel (VA 1.4301).

Clamping accuracy

The outer bodies of type 2 are machined internally in a collet, or in turned-out jaws from two sides, concentricity to each other approx. +/- 0.05 mm. The jaws are in contact with the clamping cone. Since the contact of the jaws to the inner diameter of the tubes is punctual, no concrete statement can be made about the clamping accuracy. This depends on many factors, such as: Condition of the internal geometry, wall thickness, cleanliness, clamping force, etc. Under optimum conditions, the theoretical accuracy can be safely stated as approx. +/- 0.05 mm. What is meant here is the theoretical center position of the two cylinders clamped to each other.
